Niagara Falls at Night | Niagara Falls New York

With Niagara Falls lit up until 2am at night, we head out to explore this amazing park after dark.

I've made mention of how Niagara Falls the city is a very Detroit like area. There are signs everywhere that read "Park at your own risk". House fires and empty fields from old fires are spread everywhere. Urban Renewal failed this town epically. So going out to this park in the middle of the night felt a little worrisome. During the day the park felt upscale and awesome compared to the town but who knows...

Turns out, this place is jam packed with tourists all night, buskers playing music, and even a DJ had set up shop near the American falls. The display of light would have been far superior on the Canadian side but we still enjoy ourselves thoroughly. The American falls were lit up and could be viewed from the main plaza or Luna island. Just be aware Luna island is very poorly lit compared to the rest of the park

Some of the rapids were lit up from the American falls area and they looked more intimidating then in the day time. The Canadian falls view from terrapin point was definitely the highlight though, bathed most often in blue while we were there. The plaza was very well lit here and the crowd was tremendous but I still managed to get a great view. The overall walk took us maybe 50 minutes but depending on how long you relax and soak in the views, this duration will vary. This was an excellent way to end our single day at Niagara. It is absolutely possible to do everything on offer here in a single day.

Now, one more stop in New York before returning home...
